CASE
18 y/o female patient presented for VI Peel to the face and body. Procedure was provided and patient left clinic without incident, but contacted provider 6 days later c/o “blistering reaction” to the peel. Pt felt this was due to excessive sweating at work.
RESOLUTION
Case was reviewed by Dr. Blake. This is a not unexpected response to the VI Peel. The patient was reassured.
RN immediately available interventions:
Vinegar soaks (1 pint vinegar in lukewarm bathtub) daily x 5 days, then rinse.
Sulfacetamide 10% cleanser rub in gently x 3 min, then rinse
