1. Caution/consent if methemoglobinemia or G6PD deficiency

Azelaic acid

1. Caution/consent if Fitzpatrick Type IV or darker or + asthma

Systemic Medication Contraindications

Doxycycline 50-100mg QPM / BID x 90 days

• Pregnancy
• hypersensitivity/allergy to Rx
• Intracranial hypertension history
  • Chiari malformation
  • Pseudotumor Cerebri
  • Unexplained headaches
• Antibiotic-associated colitis
  • Gastritis hx, GERD hx

Spironolactone 50-100mg QD x 3 month period

• Pregnancy, or planned pregnancy
• Assigned male at birth
• Cardiovascular disease
  • Long QT syndrome
  • POTS syndrome
  • Taking >2 antihypertensive medications
